Much improved,nice functionality, but issues

Still the firmware update process for lights is not reliable. The status of a light updates sometimes with a delay of multiple seconds. And why is there no sunset timer to choose from when you have a sunrises function?

Easy to use, cool features and great bulbs!

Ive been using rgb and ajustable white bulbs for a month and it is very reliable! Here are some ideas for future updates: - Fading between scenes - Using the gateway to detect if a specific device is in the network and apply a specifc scene if it is (ping) Keep the good work! -

Preset Not Working

Installed the Gardenspot Mini lights. The app connects and everything is all well. Ive updated all the firmware. Tried the preset and it keeps telling me to. "Please update the Firmware of this device in setting menu to enable wake-up lights". This needs better support. I have no clue how to resolve this. Please help.

Very frustrating

I have had many issues setting up garden lights. Got it going somewhat after many issues that the bridge was already assigned when I bought it. Was going but like other reviewer could not get schedules to work. Rebooted system many times. Replaced the bridge now cant get lights to connect to new bridge or are able to reset light set. Support takes days to get back (no weekend support) and weak answers that are just quotes from manual. Extremely disappointed as I like the lights and what they should do. About to take whole system back. I am very technical and this shouldnt be this hard and I am into week 3

UPDATE: App is great ... Device is worthless now

***DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT*** Device (not gateway) firmware update CONTINUES to be a problem. Not as simple as clicking update in the app and watching it go. Customer support has offered some solutions, without understanding the issue, none of which worked. Ive been advised that Im stuck with a device that doesnt work as advertised. Went to return to Home Depot (as directed by Osram). They will not take it and said to call manufacturer.

Garbage

When bought this I thought "this is a waste of money, but could be fun." Turns out its also a huge waste of time. App is garbage and nothing works. Thats what you get for trying to complicate flicking a light switch.

Awful product

Was very excited about the smart bulbs and purchased a set. During setup through this app, software updates were required for the bulbs, and after accepting the updates they would never complete and would continue to repeat. And, the bulbs remained off line. The app was not intuitive and did not produce any messaging about the updates to indicate the problem. And the app does not provide any user guidance for lighting setup. Worst problem is there is no technical support outside business hours. So entire product got returned to the store immediately without getting to even experience the lighting, and I couldnt delete this terrible app fast enough. Much is wrong with this product from Germany, and consumers should just stay clear of software products that do not offer technical support! Philips and Sylvania need to share their stuff. Philips lighting has a fine friendly app that works well, but no Bluetooth, while Sylvania has a great Bluetooth gateway design and a terrible app.

Absolutely Horrible Product

I purchased the OSRAM lightify product for an under cabinet lighting installation and to my dismay, the product DOES NOT WORK. I installed the app and I cannot get past the installation of updates. Without the app the lighting is useless.

Junk

Total junk. Spent five hours trying to update the firmware. With multiple resets. Still wont work. Returning it. Dont waist your money.

Dont buy this! Countless resets and still does not work at all the way it should. What a waste of money! I wish I could return it!

Disgrace of all German companies. 20 fkng tries just to turn off the lights.

Useless

This app is pretty much useless! I finally was able to get one bulb to work and have no idea how I did it. I decided to add a bulb and have yet to get it to work. App is definitely NOT user friendly. Ive never had such a problem. Theres no info on how to operate the app and way too many options. I may end up unplugging and taking it back!!! Frustrating to say the least!

Big Brand - Nice Idea - Poor OTA Implementation

Lots of iot devices out there, all vying for your connected home dollars. You want to buy from established companies with strong brand, but it doesnt always deliver. Lightify is one of those. Fairly early to the game (2 years now) with a decent looking solution (hardware, app & controls in app) BUT firmware updates are retrieved using mobile device and Osram just doesnt understand how to complete a reliable or fast update. Using Apple device it generally fails to update Lightify devices with needed firmware updates. When it does succeed it can take minutes (several minutes that seems like hours) and each device has to updated one at a time. Just not worthy of your consideration.

App now works flawlessly! I have the entire house approx 6 room sections for a total of 17 bulbs and 2 garden spot light fixtures outside. Have 4 flex light under-cabinet led strip sets on the way! Absolutely love lightify! "Scheduling now works perfectly the only feature that does not work for me is the Loop for rgbw bulbs will not function correctly. I now have 16bulbs and 1 garden spot light that all work great!" "Not sure why there are so many bad reviews the only problem Ive had is scheduling does not work but thats no big deal for me. Im sure there will be improvement. Im able to operate 9 bulbs now with no issues and have 7 more on the way"

Very convenient to have

Not sure why others are having problems with this product or the app. Weve had it now for 6+ months and no issues. My husband even set the system up at home and create the profile for us and he is super computer illiterate! Im the one always having to fix or do whatever with apps, pc, phones, ect... Maybe they dont have the patience or doing something wrong. But for the money to buy the products and free after that, its definitely worth it!!! Dont let the other comments scare you off from a purchase!

Lots of problems

Slow load times. Fade to on/ off doesnt save changes. System is giving a notification that says it needs updates but isnt offering any updates. Cant use any of the preset color changes without the updates that the app doesnt offer. This is badly broken. Ill probably be returning the whole system tomorrow. Actually got the app to show and download updates but then freezes and never installs the update.

Happy with the updates

The system and app are currently working flawlessly. Ive had the system for about 4 months now... Its been a process, but the bugs have been slowly squashed. Please please please add Apple Home support!!!
